New York Stylist, Delvin Lugo, shares his fave trends, best dressers and chooses his top shopping on Sense of Fashion

Sense of Fashion: What work are you most proud of?
Delving Lugo: I really enjoyed a recent editorial I did for Naag.com called Boy like Girl like Boy (see photos)

SOF: What is your favorite current trend in fashion?
DL: Menswear for women. I like a girl who can make pleated trousers, a button down shirt, and heels all look sexy

SOF: Which current trend are you tired of?
DL: One-shoulder dresses

SOF: Who would you most want to style?
DL: Right now Dakota Fanning is on top of my list. She wears clothing that suit her age and personality very well. She’s stylish, she knows it, and has no need to flaunt it.

SOF: Which fashion house surprised you?
DL: I really like what Missoni has been doing with their ad campaigns recently. The one from Fall ’09 by Ryan McGinley with the models hanging on the back of a pickup truck were really refreshing to see.

SOF: Best advice for a stylist just starting out
DL: I believe it’s important to try to assist for as many different stylists as possible. It will benefit you greatly to see how other stylists work and to grab new styling tips from them. Also, your knowledge of designers will grow, since a lot of stylists have different favorites.
